"On the weekends, when I grow up, I want to be a paleontologist.

On Monday, the first day of the week, I want to study the other planets, the moon, the stars, and other things.

On those other days, I want to make things like parks and houses, and on the days before the weekend, I  want to do races with motorcycles and cars and other things like that.

On Sunday, I want to rest.

And now, I want to go downstairs and eat."

Gabriel 4 years.

Then he told me to write this all down, and we would check it this evening to be sure I had all the details correct.

His English has massively improved.

I was wondering whether those plans came in English or French! I love it!

Out of the mouths of babes! I agree with Leonie —- Gabriel sounds like a budding Teilhard de Chardin. May all his dreams come true!

What a little treasure. Happy child. So refreshing to have dreams. I was wondering if they speak English at home?

Oh Corey, again you brought much joy to my day, with this sweet posting of Gabriel. You had me right away, when I saw the photo of him with his “cape” on. His words, at his tender age of 4, were just too wonderful to describe. I am the mother of 3 sons, and two grand children are boys, all adults now, but, this just brings back so many good thoughts and memories of the boys dreaming big dreams, (not as big as Gabriels dreams though, grin) but wearing the cape of course. Thanks again for sharing!!

Isn’t 4 just a wonderful age? So full of possibility and fun. Being a grandparent has taught me how important it is to play and imagine, even at 65!

  10. Wow! He is going to be a busy boy with big dreams.
    I love his ideas.

Corey, I ADORE 4 year olds! All of a sudden, they realize there is a great big world out there of which they aren’t necessarily the center. So much to explore. Gabriel sounds like he is on his way.

Well my goodness, I think he might need more than one day for resting, that will be a full schedule…he is a honey bun! Jennie, NZ

  13. I love his ambition, hopefully he achieves most of them. Please write this and other grandchildren’s sayings which make you smile in a book to keep for when they are older, re reading will bring memories back.
(something I wish I had done with my children)
