Children are

Little wonders to behold

as they discover, question, & become

unfolding their wings

& fly.

——

Sacha returned to Seattle today.
I told him I wasn’t going to cry when I said goodbye. That lasted all but two seconds.

My mom leaned in, saying,

“Now you know how it feels.”

— —

How I want to keep them close and yet admire how they evolve and move forth.

Olivia took a few more steps today.

And Gabriel says in English, “Come play with me.”

and Sacha flies to Arizona to film a commercial tomorrow.

  1. Yes, exactly. All at the same time, I want my adult son to be independent and adventure out and I want him to come home and stay with me (which luckily he doesn’t want to do). One must treasure those years as they’re growing up and still close by.
Olivia and Gabriel are adorable and those flowers are amazing. That garden looks like a beautiful bouquet!

  2. Sending you love, dear Corey. 💕
