Real Blooms

Real Blooms

after years

without much

perhaps a stitch or pin to a hat or collar

perfuming imagination

no need for water or pruning, nor sunshine

real blooms

the unfolding beauty of age.

I had no idea flowers kept so well…and they do give a nod to the beauty of aging. This reminds me of the ‘vintage’ bouquet of tulips, artfully set upon the kitchen shelf in your ‘House Next Door’. A burst of almost freshness amidst the antique prettiness that surrounds them.
